1. Purpose
Wise-Revise is likely to be accessed by children and young people. This statement explains our commitment to age-appropriate design and children’s privacy protection.
2. Best interests of the child
The best interests of child users are a primary design consideration for product features, defaults, and data use.
3. High privacy defaults
- Default settings prioritise privacy and minimise unnecessary data exposure.
- Role permissions restrict who can access student learning records.
- Children can leave classes where platform controls allow that workflow.
4. Data minimisation and transparency
- We collect only data needed to deliver learning and assignment functionality.
- We provide clear notices and policy links in visible footer or account areas.
- Prompts are used where data use context changes (for example class joining and assignment workflows).
5. Detrimental use and profiling
- We do not intentionally use children’s personal data for harmful or exploitative purposes.
- Learning analytics are used to support educational progress and teacher insight.
- We do not use manipulative "nudge" patterns to weaken privacy choices.
6. DPIA and risk assessment
Data protection impact assessment activity is used to identify and reduce risks to child users and to support age-appropriate controls.
7. Geolocation and connected devices
Wise-Revise does not rely on precision geolocation for core educational functionality and does not connect to toys.
8. Support for rights
Users, parents, and schools can raise deletion/privacy concerns through support channels and controller-led request processes.
